Westbury Arts celebra Latinx Thriving con el evento Meet the Authors

Westbury Arts celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month with “Latinx Thriving” from Friday, Oct. 1 through Sunday, Oct. 3 — a weekend filled with culture, Latinx pride, and community building through the arts.

“Latinx Thriving is celebrating outstanding individuals making a great impact within our Long Island communities. It is about sharing relatable stories that would inspire other community members,” says Westbury Arts board member Adriana Devers. “Latinx Thriving is about embracing our differences and recognizing how our heritage is a superpower.”

Meet the Authors

Westbury Arts launched the Amazon bestselling book “Mujeres que se atreven y superan límites, historias de inspiración en tiempos difíciles,” an anthology, published by Communicación Global Design in July, of personal stories that present the vulnerability of life through a lens of hope. The event featured co-authors Deyanira Martinez, Vianny Ogando, Martha Isabel Ramirez, Nini Gutierrez, visiting from Texas, author Carmen Perea, from Florida, Kenelva Castrillón, and Westbury Arts Board Member Adriana Devers.
